FILING IN SWEDEN

A Swedish Design Registration is granted for an initial period of five (5) years, as from the date of filing. The registration period can be extended four times for like periods (max. 25 years) with the exception of spare parts which can only be renewed twice (max. 15 years).

In order to file a Swedish design application the following is required:

• Pictures (photograhs or drawings) showing the design as viewed, maximum size: A4
• Full name and postal address of the applicant
• Full name and postal address of the designer(s)
• Title of the design and class(es) in which the design is to be registered
• Priority data, such as application number, country and date
• Power of Attorney, signed by the applicant
• Deed of Assignment (when the applicant is not the designer)
